At our regular fellowship meeting on Fri. Aug. 20th, Pres. Jackie Y. presented the approved budget from the Board meeting (see post on Board Meeting 8/15/12). Bill M. informed the club that he ordered the Christmas trees and that he was able to arrange for 50 cents to fumigate each tree. Discussion to have Rotary publish a 2013 Calendar and Billy Y. volunteered to spearhead this project and report by the next Board meeting (Sept. 5) the list of sponsors, deadline, photos and budget.
Joe W. proposed and will arrange a tour of the new Gov. Tauese Sunia Ocean Center that recently opened by NOAA.
Member USCG Lt. Steve Caskey announced that he will be living Am. Samoa for his new duty assignment in the U.S.A. and he showed his honor and bought his Rotary Badge for $100.
The fining session was lively and good fellowship. The Queen of Hearts was not pulled by Steve C. and the game of chance continues for another week.
